How To Use

Before you start — important:

• Always test in an inconspicuous area first before full treatment, regardless of surface type.
• PawLab is not a spray-and-wipe solution. It requires sufficient dwell time to work — it must remain wet and in contact with urine deposits long enough for the bio-enzymatic action to break down and eliminate uric acid crystals.
• Never use other cleaners or chemicals at the same time as PawLab — this will reduce effectiveness. If other chemicals have been previously used, rinse the area thoroughly and allow to dry completely before applying PawLab.
• As a rule of thumb, use a volume of PawLab approximately equal to the amount of urine that caused the stain.
• It is normal for the smell to intensify after initial treatment — this means the biological cleaning process is working and uric acid crystals are being broken down and brought to the surface.

Treating Fresh Stains

1. Remove any solid waste and blot up excess urine from the surface.
2. Rinse the affected area with clean water only — no chemicals or shampoo.
3. Extract excess water by blotting with an absorbent cloth, or use a carpet shampooer or wet/dry vac, leaving the surface moist.
4. Apply PawLab generously over the affected area, covering approximately 30cm beyond the visible stain and working inwards. The enzymes will follow the same path the urine took, breaking down uric acid crystals all the way to the source.
5. Leave to dwell until dry. In warm or sunny areas, cover with a plastic tarp to prevent rapid evaporation — enzymes work best in moist conditions.
6. Once dry, lightly spray with water to wipe away any residue from the bio-enzymatic action.

Treating Old Set-In Stains

Note: long-term urine exposure can permanently burn a surface. PawLab will remove the odour and in most cases fade the stain, but permanent discolouration may not be fully reversible.

1. Re-activate the old stain by washing with a liberal amount of water only — no chemicals or shampoo.
2. Extract excess water by blotting or using a carpet shampooer/wet-dry vac, leaving the surface moist.
3. Apply PawLab liberally over the affected area — enough to seep through the pile and underlay to reach the floor below.
4. Cover with a plastic tarp or non-porous covering to keep the area moist for as long as possible. Once dry, wipe away any residue with water only.

Note: Where urine deposits are heavy, old, or other odour/stain products have previously been used, more than one PawLab treatment may be required.
